ERC calendar is bullshit. Now 7 months without an ERC rally, and hopefully no time collision again like this weekend - what FIA was thinking about this is not understandable.

Collision between Catalunya and Liepaja was made by FIA on very last moment before rally commission last year, when they changed date for Catalunya...

Finishing early October is fine, but we need an event in January or February I think.. yes, 7 months is too long.

A local radio and newspaper said this week end that the Azores Rally would open the ERC in 2018, March 22-24, but he knew that these dates are not yet confirmed.
I also agree that the ERC season is too short. It should start in February and end in late October.

Perfect would be to kick out the rally of Rome-Capitale, move Liepaja (or Rally Poland in Mikolajki) to mid-september, and bring back Valais at the end of October...

Valais is a stunning event; it should always be in the ERC - and as the final round.
