I don't know if that stage is representative of diversions used on other stages, but that 'slow' (fast) narrow road, closely lined with trees and featuring occasional slow 90º corners, almost looks to present more risks than the normal, wider flowing roads...

No, that's the only stage they slowed down by adding a smaller road section. Most of the stages got a chicane of some sort. I listed all of them in this thread a couple of days ago.

Kakaristo junction is cool but I think it was more of a spectacle when the stage ran the opposite direction. For Finland and the main spectator areas/parking, I guess you could conceivably always end up in fields most days. I think it's important to strike a balance and be prepared to walk into the forests where the rally is at its best.

They ran it opposite direction this year. (Different than last year, cars are turning right in Kakaristo this year)

Atleast I think it´s better when you see cars heading towards you longer...

Ahh cool, yeah I agree it is much better when you see them sweep into view at speed. An iconic spot in the WRC and glad I could tick it off in 2014.

Which they do this year. Can´t forget Mikko so scaring, almost running off letting out right rear wheel in the ditch. Mama mia! Was there. 2007 I think.
