Hmm i don't remember Ostberg winning two rallies out of 7 starts this season. Or pushing Ogier hard in a battle for the lead on the Monte, or generally being the 2nd quickest driver in Sweden and Corsica too...
He's struggled on the gravel in Spain and been off the pace so far in Wales which will be frustrating for him on his home event, so it's somewhat understandable he might be having a moan or saying stupid things at the stage ends. Meeke probably thought he might have had a chance of fighting for the win before the event started, so i can see why he's pissed off. He also doesn't have driver or manufacturer points to think about either which is worth remembering, so ofcourse he's going to lose a bit of motivation knowing he can't do better than 5th in current circumstances.

Meeke just has lost something in the last rallies. Absolutely different guy than in Portugal and Finland

What happened to Abbring? Did restart today, but never started into the stage.

Found the answer - Hyundai Motorsport: A transmission issue on the opening road section means @KevinAbbring and @sebmarshall have had to pull out from today’s stages.
What a disaster

If Meeke HAD to fight he would... like here last year when he ensured the points for Citroen to beat Hyundai in the Manufacturers Championship.
