Yes and no.. there are some very good drivers in WRC2 this year, but on the other hand even in Spain, the works Skoda drivers finished 25 minutes ahead of the third place.

You have a good point on the media coverage.. terrible for sponsors and manufacturers. The YouTube clips are just the same as what they show on the tv. Now they only seem to show the powerstage live there is even less chance to see the WRC2 crews.

Has lost to Veiby everytime. (2xSweden, Finland even that Veiby drove with 2wd car)

In the beginning of year Per was sure that Emil will beat Suninen...

I actually still believe Bergkvist has the potential but it requires true effort put in him. I mean serious real program with a lot of testing, training and quality team which allows him to concentrate fully on driving. I know that all that basically means a works team but in this moment I feel like he was kind of unlucky and may end forgotten like some other once rising stars.

Bergkvist has had a poor year, especially if you look at what Sirmacis achieved in ERC this year.

But I don't think it's bad luck. That car is less reliable and slower than the other R5s, it was never going to end well.

I wish him well in finding a better programme next year.

@Pantealex For sure Emil hasn´t had the backup like Veiby just driving anywhere and anytime as he wish. Daddy pays. Veiby is good but he has driven way more rallies than most of his fellow competitors. And in good cars, well prepared. And that´s the difference as we all know.

Emils´choices wasn´t many or even just one. The one he took. And we all knew from the start where it should end and it did.
Ruling him out like a kind of one hit wonder or what some of you guys says, just says how short your memories are.
He was ERC3 champion in 2015.
He deserves better than this maybe outcome.
