A "world championship" does not only mean that it has events around the world, but that it also has the best events. While I agree that there might be events worthy of replacing Sardinia, I'd rather have four events (Portugal is not on the Mediterranean, is it?) around that sea than events in India, Korea and who knows where, with all due respect for those countries. If it was for me, Mexico would have been long gone after spectators throwing rocks on cars for a couple of years some time ago, but it was kept because it's in North America...

Well, I guess since the rally it's held in the North it's not a mediterranean event anymore. But I do agree, when the event was held in Algarve (South) the roads were similar to what you find in Sardinia or Spain (the gravel stages) or Greece. Ideal, should be Italy to held a pure tarmac event around the Alpes mountains and Spain just keep everything in tarmac as well. I would like to see the Acropolis Rally back in the WRC.

Some real tosh written about Capito's comments after Finland. As always @davidevansrally's assessment is spot on

Main public interest for rallying is in Europe, so that is why it's so mush centred here. You can have a WRC event in Mongolia, but who would care?
However different seasons and therefore three different surfaces.

Which still doesn't explain how subservient Latvala's performance was!

If that imbecile David Evans isn't writing the bleeding obvious thinking he's stumbled upon some big secret no one else has already worked out then he's just writing complete wank like "That makes him a pretty good cup of coffee..." No one has ever uttered that phrase before. To all of you for whom English is not their first language that isn't an example of British-English idiom, it's just a 13 year-old in a man's body who has somehow got a job as a journalist.

My self I think its better to judge things like sweeping factor on a proper analysis rather than opinion.

I love how every time the words 'David Evans' show up in the rallying section we're guaranteed a perfect rant from you.

I don't care about that, but it does make me wonder if he's ever done anything wrong to you (personally)?

If we start to reason like this a lot of people will be unemployed rather soon. That makes you somehow a bad person.
