Yes, You are wrong. There is no limit of 300 Hp because it's not possible to control. There are other limiting features, mainly air restrictor and maximum boost limit but those don't set any line at 300 Hp. They just give conditions for the manufacturers to cope with.

The real power is mostly secret but it's more than 300 Hp for all latest R5 cars and a lot more for WRC cars. I believe even latest S2000 cars reached 300 Hp but with a lot less torque.

In case of WRC cars I know for sure only the power of really old cars but even Fabia WRC ten years a go had 340 Hp.

The latest evolution of the 207 S2000 engine is quoted to have 309-311 HP. Also, I heard that the Lancer Evo WRC had 351 HP, but I'm not sure if that's true.

During rally Finland there was rumour that factory fabia R5 had 310 hp. Biggest "secret" in wrc. Hp levels. Heh they should do official and open dyno before every rally

Under A8 regulations I have seen a Ford 2.0 liter WRC engine (made by Mountune circa 2005) ,hit 370 hp on dyno.

Seems 370hp is not reliable. Look the 2.0T A8 WRC and 1.6T WTCC engines, clearly 1.6T WTCC have much more power than WRC's. They even claimed that is only around 380HP.

The WTCC run bigger restrictors, more or less the formula of WRC next year.

It always depends if the dyno is properly set but 370 Hp for Focus WRC 08 would be IMO quite realistic figure. For Focus 05 I don't think so.

I am quite sure that WTCC 1.6T with 36 mm restrictor have over 400 Hp.

Mirek, you seems always not believe factories' figure. It's hard to believe current WTCC can reach 400HP because they seemed very slow compared with other touring/GT cars.

When we look Nurburgring's lap time, TC1 car has a huge gap to FIA GT3 cars' even the GT3 R only has 500HP.
