Has Rallycross always been this incestuous_
I'm sorry but it sure seems remarkable that the teenage sons of a whole bunch of team principles are all “discovered“ to be Whirled Champignonskit material...
Sucked when Malconm Wilson did it. Seems to be the norm in rallycross...
Why do I not get interested in any race where its some child driving---children can't afford this so the fact they do means forunes are being poured over little boys head who haven't proven anything except a relationship to somebody who was something..
This stuff taints what they did..John Vanlandingham

Yes, at least the half of all racedrivers has a family background in motorsport. Some fathers/mothers/whoever were more successful, others less. Otherwise there wouldn't be so much talents...

Talentis not genetic..It cannot be inherited..Money and connections are easily "inherited"
Point forgotten is the its not that all these old guys who I respected are helping in some way their own sons--it is that they are electing to place their sons into seats fighting for the WORLD championship..when obviously no 17 year old can be imagined to have earned much of anything in life yet..Much less to "jump ahead of the class" with no real test---except paternity test...
In makes a complete farce that the title winner is Champion of the World.
Instead a win becomes "Merely a winner of a little incestuous gang of friends.." who have been gifted millions of dollars of resource NOT because what they did, but what Daddy did..
Yeah other car motorsport is infested with this..
I pay no attention to other CAR motorsports...because of it.Last edited by janvanvurpa; 22nd March 2016 at 14:40.

I well remember WRC after 2008-2009, when both Subaru and Suzuki pulled off, but eventually with the 1600 WRC cars it recovered very well. It was the same story, high costs, low return of...
