It's not designed for fan enjoyment. It's a PR exercise for the series and the teams. In theory it should provide value to the series - but only if you can get people looking at the WRC who ordinarily wouldn't be. That's why if they are going to do it, having some French speed walking champion in the car isn't really worth it IMO. You need celebrities who have reach who can attract different media and fans.

Idris Elba last year was the one stand-out I'd say. Caroline Wozniacki is a good person they managed to get this year. But beyond that it's just small-fry.

Anyway soon there will be something more interesting to talk about.

It is so annoying, like why not even maybe just put small box in corner with the interviews if they have to??
