Hi there,
I have been too busy again. I am running one big GIS project related to inundation/flooding areas around rivers and lakes, and I have to finish it soon. But I took some time yesterday to take a look on weather.
There should be snowfall tonight on many stages of the rally and most probably it will be the last before and during the rally.
Shakedow should be with some clouds, +2..+4 degrees and it is likely that there is no snow left by that time, maybe some icy patches.
SS1 and 2 should both have a few minus degrees SS2 should have at least 3-4 degrees below zero. It will be warm during the day (+3..+4), so, black ice is real possibility and snow dragged on the road by first cars is also possibility.
Fridady:
Morning stages will be probably almost key stages. Some snow is expected on those stages on Wednesday (so, after recce) and I do not expect the temperature to rise much above zero there, so it will be tricky. Ss3, 5, 6 and 8 should be all between -1.. and -5 degrees. Only the longest stage SS 4 and 7 is in lower elevation and should be mostly on plus side on both runs.
Saturday:
Morning, longest stage (SS9) should run between -2..-4 degrees, a bit cloudy. SS10 also -3.. -5 degrees, a bit cloudy
Ss11 is in the middle of the day, a bit cloudy and temperature between +2..+4, Ss12, cloudy and 0..+2 degrees
SS13 It should be + degrees on that stage for most of the time, looks like heat wave is arriving
I do not expect any snow during the whole week on saturday stages, so, its should be as it is with some additional melting during the days but plenty of roadisde snow and ice on the road should not dissapear.
Sunday:
It will be hot day, no snow. Even on Turini I expect up to +5 degrees, so, maybe even some running water on the stages because of melting snow
On the last stage the temperatiure might rise up to +10 degrees
In overall, I do not expect any major snofall, but this is mountainsAnother factor is fog. It is expected to be very calm weather, so fog is real possibility and fog with minus degrees is very slippy
So, lest see

btw, the new cars will use R5 engines. where current R5s get their engine? from the production base car and then they tune the engines for racing? what new engines the current Polos (privateers) are...
