It seems that Rally Bohemia is in deep financial trouble and may not be held next year. The decision shall be taken latest next week...

I don't believe Skoda would let it not happen.

I don't know what is exactly happening. The organization blames ASN for giving them bad date in which they claim can't organize the rally (in May). The ASN says that the organizer informed them about his financial issues which might force him not to organize the event. And than there is a dispute between Škoda and the town of Mladá Boleslav over the level of real estate taxes in the town. The town rose the tax by 100% for 2016 which for Škoda means to pay something like 1,5 million Euro extra. People say that škoda is very angry as it kept financing a lot of sport or cultural events in the town together with some reconstructions of building or streets and that the prevailing opinion is "fuck it, they have extra 1,5 million, so they can spend it instead". I don't know where is the truth. Time will tell I guess.

I would hope that Rally Bohemia would fall outside of the 'fuck it' attitude as it is surely an integral part of their motorsport promotion.

Date was not set by czech ASN, but by FIA. Because organisers wants to have ERC historics...
