    Because a full WRC season is still a lot more expensive than a season in World Rallycross...

    (...and he is the best thing to happen to rallycross in a while, so we want him to stay!).

    Petter has already confirmed he will be doing more rallycross in 2016, with a potential Dakar drive in 2017:

    Because he doesn't have a VW? Also it seems to me that he enjoys rallycross far more than he did rallying, and it's almost certainly a damn sight cheaper.

    He has something ready for next year, maybe contract with a factoryteam.

    I believe three continents is the minimum required by the FiA to class a Championship as "World".

    Yes, they changed it a few years ago. Though I'm sure North & South America are really 1 continent.
