The forecast keeps changing. A few days ago it was no rain for Friday and Saturday and a week ago it was showers for the whole weekend.

I would agree with you that it certainly isn't a likely objective for J-M, but one of the things that he (and others) seem to be focusing on is how Ogier's winning mentality beats Latvala's. At least such a statement by Latvala shows his commitment and improved mentality. Just the fact that he is ready to publicly announce something like this shows that he has come a long way.
He likely won't ever have the same mental strength as Ogier, but hey, it's a step in the right direction.

I guess part of his plan for Corsica was to not let Seb do any pre event testing ;D

Lowest point was probably when they had to put the top class drivers to run RX2e cars for the final races of the season, after the whole fire on the Lancias drama.
