Of course he was favourite for the win in Finland but it was more the dominance which was impressive. Cruise mode after day one.

He made too many mistakes last year in ERC but let's see how he does the rest of this year.

Skoda should have realised how little attention WRC2 gets and had the new R5 Fabia ready in time for the start of the 2015 ERC ...

Agree. I think we should wait at least the end of the year, both for us to judge and for him to be calm and progress step by step. It won't be the first time that the hast ruined a promising driver. I remember a thread here where most of the people were hesitant about him even with an ERC title on his back, and for good reasons. This year he is more convincing and for sure he is in the right path,, I hope he continues like this but with the right patience.

I think his Skoda contract has allowed him to develop but the ERC focus has meant that he doesn't really have experience of the WRC events that are going to be his future. Only 10 starts! If he is able to take the WRC2 title this year then there doesn't seem a lot of sense in having him defend it, despite what his contract apparently says. He needs to be in a WRC car next year on select rounds, plus testing/gaining experience and doing reccys like you see with Abbring.

Maybe VW will run a fourth car on European events only for example.

Unofficially Loeb jumped 80 meters in Turkey some years a go (based on telemetry data), officially Schwarz on Fafe 2000 jumped 73 meters but that jump doesn't look that long in the video.

Of course if he continues like this until the end of the season, his 2016 should be as you predict. Let's see where he will be at the end of the year.
