Yes unfortunately seems true, I'm a big fan of Freddy, but hope he will get some decent competition from Abbring, Lefevbre and Princen, or some other outsiders; would give his victory more joy!

Can anyone in the know tell us how the power and torque figures of an RRC compare to an R5? Is the more bespoke engine design enough to overcome the smaller restrictor?

R5 engine is stronger. The advantage of RRC cars is in better suspension (particularly less unsprung weight for example), better anti-lag, six-speed gearbox and reliability. Somebody can add more for sure. Originally Posted by RS
