log it under "seemed like a brilliant idea, at the time..." The grist in the mill was at how long the Safety car was on the track. As it was out there, the laps that 'advantage' was meant for were slipping away, to the point where it was moot.

Blame the strategists in the pit for that mistake.

Why would you give up track position at Monaco? Unless there was an issue with Hamilton's tyres that forced a stop, and Mercedes haven't said anything, then there was absolutely no reason to pit. Bonehead play of the year goes to the men in silver.

How has he been a spoiled brat exactly? I found him rather pragmatic on the podium for a guy Whose team just screwed out of a win in the worlds most prestigious circuit.
