Kruuda just said in estonian news that he has protested the result of SS6. He said that Foulon had some technical issues and thats why he started just in front of him and when he caught him then Foulon didnt move away and he couldnt get past. He also asked the organizers to have a bigger gap because he knew he would catch Foulon but the organizers didnt give bigger gap.

What were the problems of Lappi?

Tidemand said he cruised SS6 and 7 to ensure no problems. I suppose the guys in the detuned World Rally cars were less cautious on the rough roads.

I must say I am very surprised by the pace of Kruuda, especially after seeing his pre-event test video where the car looked hideous.

Anyway Tidemand is way behind the gulf guys. If You think that it's some kind of achievement, I don't. And I don't say he must be slower driver than them. It may be the car...

Both Lappi and Tidemand had some technical problems. It's hard to say how much that affected them though (with Lappi definitely more than by one minute lost). Also after I saw the Fabia R5 shakedown videos I'm far from believing that the car setup is right.

If we aare on excuses you know very well PT had brakeissues on SS6 and cruised on SS7. Btw the most important for them in this rally is to bring the car home and get valuable data for the future and development.

PT is 31 sec behind and it´s not that much.

Now -end of excuses for us all...?

They said on Rally Radio that there was a problem with dust clogging the air intakes. I suspect this may cause the ECU to reduce power as it won't like reduced air flow...

Quite big gaps in WRC2 already. Have there been problems for Grondal and Pärn?
