I would actually argue the opposite; short races demanding maximum commitment, simple track layouts, relatively open build regulations... its as pure as you can get really!

On the other hand there's a lot of barging about and the joker lap which is added in for show. Plus the cars are so heavily modified that I don't think they could be genuinely considered 'pure'
