In general pic's from SS1 as bluuford expected 2 days ago
snow at high, icy at middle and some dry patch at lower altitude

There was so much snow yestrday that when they plought it, it stays on the sides, so, first cars might drag more snow on the road and make it more difficult for the followers. tarmac was exposed only on the sunlight and now it should be full ice where it was still wet. Temperature dropped below zero an hour ago almost everywhere. So, it might be like ice-rink between small snowalls. Moreover, there was pretty big traffic due to the rally and then a lot of snow will be compacted like you can see on the photo. This ice do not dssapea in one day, without winbd and just +3 degrees. So, tyres with studs should be the only correct solution.

Those are snow tires! There are no wet tarmac tires.

Arent the snow tyres only those on the left.. narrow with studs ?
