Kubica has choosen Astyle because he wants to drive on Pirelli tires which are supposedly cleary faster than Michelins.
To be fair most people were onboard with the idea of the 2022 cars being hybrids as at the time most manufacturers were already using this in their road cars, or they were aiming to go full EV....
