Really nice result for british driver Steve Hendy(Ford Focus WRC) today at Rallye de Béthune(northern France)with the second place overall(winner Laurent Bayard on his unstoppable Toyota Corolla WRC)
Several other british drivers were present as Andrew Fenwick(retired), David Turnbull(forfait), Sebastian Ling(5th) and Graham Coffey(6th)...

Nothing, only French cup. I don't know why Hendy came here. He was the first. He loved it. He invites friend (Fenwick), and then others come. This year that was the first time that so many come.
Honestly I don't know why they love so much this event. Roads aren't particularly nice compare to other events in Northern France, as Route du Nord, Touquet, ... Only good thing for them it's that there's an highway from Calais to Béthune, so it's quite fast to go.
(and I don't talk on a spectator point of view, as we aren't welcome there).

Yes right, there was a fatal crash there a few years ago. It was the start of the repressive measures against spectators in France. Here in Béthunes it's probably the worst event. You have two spots per stage where you can go. All other are forbidden. Organizers will do all to move you (even cancelling the stage) if you are not on these spots, which were pretty bad according people (you can see the car only a few seconds). And I think the most stupid thing is that these points are limitated in term of width. I remember La Lys (event closed to Béthunes), where I could'nt go a few meters far in straight line, because it wasn't plan that people could go there.
@Tommeke : of course that's not the same level. But you don't go on a French Cup event for the same thing than you go to a French Championship one

I back on this news because, according to this site, Sarrazing bought the fiesta (using for criterium cevennes)
