According to the Daily Star, 'controversial Brit Lewis Hamilton could be in line for a sensational switch to Ferrari.'

The tabloid states that the McLaren driver, who has had a season of 'controversy and misery' coupled with the 'heartbreak' of splitting with his girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger, is no longer happy at Woking.

The reasons being 'team-mate Jenson Button's upsurge in pace and popularity' as well as his own 'feud with Ferrari's Felipe Massa.'

Throw in BBC pundit David Coulthard's belief that Ferrari have grown tired of Massa's lack of results.

He said: "Ferrari probably has no choice but to look for another driver. And Massa probably knows his Formula One life is on its last legs."

And you have the story Hamilton 'could be' off to Ferrari.

However, when that may be it doesn't say as Ferrari have stated numerous times that they are keeping faith in Massa while Hamilton has a deal with McLaren for next year's Championship.

So expect this to rumble for another 12 months...
Yeah, Domenicali has commented before that an Alonso-Hamilton pairing could work at Maranello, and both of them have been giving quite goody-goody compliments to each other lately, but I doubt this will ever happen. Mclaren is a better car than Ferrari at the moment, so it doesn't make any sense for Lewis to switch.

I hope it doesn't happen, you know, Lewis going to the dark side and all.
