Life sometimes throws in little surpises. Last week I was finally making an order for Jyväskylän Suurajojen jäljillä 1970-1974, a detailed history book of 1000 Lakes published in December 2010. (I believe it's one of its kind, the author have made a great work, driving all the old stages, meeting people living on those roads, talking to drivers of course, etc.) While googleing for the best price I ended up on a second-hand book store site that had Willy Weyens' Rallywereld '85 for €4. Okey, I didn't know the book - nor the language it's written in - but for that price sure I ordered it for the pictures alone. It arrived today, bit worn down sleeve but otherwise in okey condition. Now we come to the life's little surpises part. It appeared that the book had been a christmas present, because on the inner cover there was a text: "Hyvää joulua Heikille 1985! Merry Christmas 1985 to Heikki!" and a signature of no one else but Timo Salonen, World Rally Champion of 1985, the year the book was written in! The bookstore I ordered the book from is located in Hämeenlinna, Salonen's home city, so it makes sense. I don't know who is the man who this book had belonged to though. Still - a little surprise most welcomed.

Maybe if they're lucky, but I think it'll take a lot of work for them to catch the Racing Bulls without Max! :)
