Eric Jackson,who used to rally Escorts ,Cortina's etc in the 60/70 set a record from London to Cape Town,which is 12,000 miles of 13 days 8 hours,and 48 minutes ,47 years ago in a Cortina.That record has JUST been broken by 3 guys in a landrover Discovery all these years later,and they had sat Nav,and all the latest gizmo's.
