1975 FIA Cup Championship
In 1975, Richard Petty won 13 races enroute to his then record 6th Championship in real life, beating 2nd place Dave Marcis by 722 points using the Latford points system.
His arch-nemisis, the "Silver Fox" David Pearson only raced in 21 of the 30 races that year, and finished 14th in the standings in real life. Lets see how the season shakes out using the FIA points system:
