Tribute to Michel Meunier...
Hi,
Michel Meunier just died this week at the age of 68...
For those who don't know who he was, he was one of the creators of the famous french team of le Mans race, WM, with his friend Gérard Welter, known to hold the world speed record of 405km/h on the straight line of the Hunaudières, for example(but the WM team also had successes in the race itself, like the 4th overall position in the 1984 edition of le Mans)...
Michel Meunier was motoring engineer and Gérard Welter(still alive)was already designer at that time, and both worked at Peugeot, explaining why the engines of their prototypes came from that company...
Endurance-Info made a great pictures tribute to the WM story following the tragic loss:

R.I.P. Michel and condolences to the family and to Gérard...
Tarmac rallies are part of the WRC challenge for drivers. And having the Championship in a major European capital city will bring great publicity to the sport there.
