Just to clear things up in regard to the Champ Car Safety Team. There has been NO communication to CCWS Safety with respect to joining the IRL Safety Team. It appears as thought the original Safety Team will cease to exist when this "merger" goes down, and the team which has been known as the gold standard in motor sports safety for the last 20+ years will be left out in the cold. This is a sad day in the world of motor sports.
