I would expect but PLuto said that SS1 is dry and SS3 wet so I thought it's dry like dry and wet like wet.
I checked some webcams and I can see a bit of fog in some places, also Fourmaux mentioned the fog during the ceremonial start. That could be extra challenge.
The higher the likelihood of a larger field, the lower the likelihood of the top guys being there. And that has nothing to do with the top guys running scared.
