Tänak has nothing to win with pushing, just to loose even those possible points when he can stay on the road.
Actually - if someone ruins (causing dust, blocks the road) your run then you can claim your time back. But if you stop for letting someone else to go without ruining their run, can you claim your time back as well? When doing that you don't win anything but the sport does. I'm talking Tänak staying and letting Neuville to go.

R1 is also a Yamaha which probably isn't a great Rally2.
As an extra question, what happens to WRC2 in 2027? Maybe Rally3 becomes WRC2, which will confuse a few people, like when WRC3 was Rally2.
Tanak slower than Munster. But judging by how not grumpy he is, I'm sure he's not driving a Hyundai next year.
