More variety, yes. More mileage - doubt. They can test at their permanent site a lot more. Might be that they will also test at their base and then will do a rally to see how did their changes translate into other kind of roads.

The problem is that they don't make the decision soon enough, or even have it in the plan before the race. The guy behind who's just come out on fresh tyres & is 2 seconds a lap faster needs the call...
What oother options do Hyundai have, if Tanak will really leave for Toyota? Will they hire again Mikkelsen, Lappi, Sordo? Or reach out for WRC2 field? Or even stay only with two cars?
