There are drivers who can live with them on the odd stage or stages, but when it comes to stringing a whole load of times you can't fail but notice there is a clear trend. Dani Sordo looks sadly way past it making me wonder whether he is really the better option when compared to Craig Breen.
Tanak was a "B" lister at Hyundai often enough.
Evans at Toyota most of last year.
Ogier and Neuville have a long list of weak Finlad/Estonia type rallies.

So the "divide" might be clear on a single rally or two but over more rallies its not the same.

Sordo dropped a lot in pace with Rally1s last year, was surprising he actually went for more starts this year rather than retiring. But at least he can finish the rallly at decent pace (which got him podiums last year), hard to argue that Breen with 5 crashes in 6 starts is the better option. He might but at this point it is extremely uncertain card.
