I’ve said before that I personally like Becs being the lead, she knows the WRC and she knows enough technically to carry the broadcast, but crucially she knows when to hand off to the ‘expert’ in co-comms. Julian is a good foil to her, and I have to say it was good with Seb Marshall alongside her as well. Desborough for me is where it falls down, he talks way too much about totally random and irrelevant stuff that has no bearing about what’s on screen, and as a result it usually puts Julian on the back foot to try and steer the narrative back to what’s happening.
Obviously they have been left in the lurch with stage end due to Colin leaving and Molly away having a baby, but I thought Ben Constandurous and Emyr are ok, the new lady clearly struggled with actual WRC knowledge.
