I'd say the turbo 4wd cars actually have less advantage at Otago than most rallies.
Their biggest advantage is the torque and traction giving better acceleration out of slower corners, especially when its slippery or rough.
The fast, flowing, smooth roads mean there is less of that advantage, and the faster 2wd cars (even the classics) often have more outright power and less weight.Last edited by GravelBen; 15th April 2019 at 01:58.




But minimum height is 1270mm, which is around the height of Porsche Cayman and a bit less than 992. Abarth 124 is 3-4 cm lower and Alpine is around 2 cm lower. Both BMW M2 and M4 are aroud 12cm...
