Evans knows he has to step up, or this will be his last season. It's his 5th full season and he's main man now even though last season's performances didn't deserve it.
And Andreas had to step up too, and knows he has Loeb already in the team matching and beating him after a few days in the car, and Thierry totally dominant over him.

Agree with most of it, but I think Evans' mistake was more being caught out by the conditions, whereas Mikkelsen's was just stupidity.
