Tonight will be interesting. It was absolute chaos last season starting at night with onboards freezing or not playing, no helicopter, missing all the drama on the ice, Molly sat at the start of stage rambling about how she can't tell what tyres the drivers are on, etc etc...

It was their first All Live rally, having done only one test run in Portugal 8 months earlier. They are now one full season wiser. And Monte Carlo isn't the easiest terrain to work with planes, helicopters and wireless connections.
It's a world championship and it should be hard and have different types of challenges facing crews and teams. Funny thing that everyone is pushing for marathon events as it was always part of WRC...

Your video from Finland 2016 shows enough. The WRC cars then were plenty exciting and Meeke set the record times.
WRC27 & Rally2 Cars wont be much different to those cars from 10 years ago.

Peoples excitement often comes from "their" guys doing well. If they don't, the "excitement" of stuff happening is seen as chaos.
