It seems to me it's generally an advantage to go first on tarmac, and a disadvantage to go first on gravel. But what of ice, how does that work? And would fresh snow change anything?
If it fresh snow - first cars must a pull away it to able dig studs into ice. So laterunners have an advantage
If it only ice - first car have an advantage, because every run make road more ruted with less grip

It'd be nice to see Solberg in a ralIy1 for a couple events next year, maybe sharing a car with Pajari. But I don't know that a full season in rally1 next year would even be the best move for Solberg...
