    It never was pre-EC membership but it will certainly affect alcohol and tobacco sales in Belgium and France as UK tax will be payable once again for import.
    However that won't affect 2017 (and in all probability up to 2020!)
    The UK is a member of the EC until it leaves - so no barrier to Ypres in the immediate future.
