I hate television so much that I was considering getting drunk, taking an ax and smashing my TV this weekend. Then I realized that I don't have an ax, I don't drink anymore and I wouldn't be home this weekend. But when I got home last night, I found this show called Granite Flats on my Roku box. It looked like a kids' show, set in the early 1960's. But it's not a kids' show. It features kids in the cast and it is family friendly, but it's also the best written, directed and acted television program I have seen in YEARS! It's something of a Cold War spy thriller set in a small town.
Watch it! Do what I did and binge watch it (Netflix or Roku). If you've lost faith in (American) television, this might save you from shopping for an ax and a bottle of Jack Daniels."Every generation's memory is exactly as long as its own experience." --John Kenneth Galbraith
