I cant understand the logic behind Makkinen bashing here. Some people seem to prefer the sterile "works" approach as seen with VW and Citroen. But the independant team supported by a manufucturer has worked similarly if not better in results.Examples are countless(Richards/Prodrive/Subaru,Cowan/Ralliart/Mitsubishi,Wilson/M-Sport/Ford).Hell,even the old TTE was quite similar in approach with these teams as one man(Ove Andersson) set up and run the team with support from Japan. So,all in all, there is no indication that a Makkinen/TMR/Toyota way is doomed to fail as most people here suggest.

If it is just a new investor (not a new Promoter) that means they wont be changing anything except financial matters. And yes, the FIA has to decide and approve the Regs.
You're way off topic lads.
Back to the WRC27... Toyota has back-to-back tested vs the Yaris Rally2:

Ogier competition when he won every title:
-2008 (JWRC)
-1. Ogier - 42pt
-2. Burkart - 34pt
-3. Prokop - 32pt
Also there was Abbring on 13th place.
-2013:
-1. Ogier - 290pt
-2....
It's the whole WRC world like that. Nothing is clear until it's clear, while in other sports there are rumours, articles, interviews, official statements and all that way before it will actually...
