Yes, You may be right. The tolerance isn't same everywhere but it's for sure possible that he drove limit+tolerance+1

To be fair most people were onboard with the idea of the 2022 cars being hybrids as at the time most manufacturers were already using this in their road cars, or they were aiming to go full EV....
