The A380's would be airborne while being towed. a slot will be cut in the tunnel to accomodate the towing cable.

passing and getting the towing wires all tangled up would lead to some big crashes

You'd have to go back a couple of years, then it'd be Mosely for Dick, and Ecclestone for Muttley.

I think I watched some race where this already happen. At the end of the race the trailers where a completely mess.
Thoose kind of races demand a very smoth driver, Jenson?
