Thank you Finland!
A few minutes ago, Finland’s Jarkko Miettinen officially became the champion of the 2008 Romanian Rally Championship, with one round to spare. Today he finished second in the 7th round of the championship in Cluj, only being defeated by Gergo Szabo from Hungary. Blistering fast on both tarmac and gravel, Jarkko had no real opposition from the local drivers this year, winning 5 of the 7 rounds held until now. He and co-driver Mikko Lukka are the first foreign drivers to be crowned overall rally champions in Romania. And he is a very nice person too.
Congrats Jarkko Miettinen !!! And thank you Finland - country of the rally gods!

Sorry to revive this thread. I have one question for the Finnish members of the forum: How do you say "Champion of Romania" in your language ?
I intend to write it as a title of the national rally season review."Nada pode me separar do amor de Deus"
