Reutimann buys five ex-MWR "current cars", cousin to race in ARCA

When Wayne Reutimann Jr, a USAC and sprint-car driver, wanted to race in ARCA in 2008, existing teams wanted him to carry his own sponsor and infrastructure.

    No deal.

Enter cousin David, who just finished second in the Busch Series (and even with the proposed Top 35 ban, he could not be banned; he was not a Top 35 driver in the NNCS in 2007). David bought three "current cars" from the Michael Waltrip Racing facility that became obsolete at the end of 2007 season and Wayne will attempt eight ARCA races in 2008 with the ex-MWR cars.

Reutimann's budget will be $20,000 and the Nationwide Series #99 Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota crew. Another $15,000 will be paid to TRD for engines.

Hmmmm . . . I wonder if The Rock will be one of them. They've tested so many cars there last year that one of those cars would be seasoned to run The Rock.

I expect a lot of new teams will enter ARCA this year with all those cars-of-yesterday now for sale cheap. ARCA fields are going to be HUGE this year!

I believe the proper term is "low mileage".

I think the correct term is more like "under-powered pieces of crap" ...
