Why do we have toes?

What is the point in us having toes, it's not like we use them for anything.

Yeah. You got toes so you can tell whether you're facing frontwards or backwards. If you look down and see toes, your ass is behind you, which you should now be able to find with both hands.

Evolutionary dead ends for sure. At least toes keep your foot from falling over and you with it....

Talk to someone who has lost toes how much their mobility suffers. A friend of mine when I was a kid had a dad that lost a few toes and had to relearn how to walk, and to this day limps. Running was never an option....
