What is the Consecutive Podium Record?
Lewis Hamilton scores his ninth consecutive podium. He must have had a problem so today could be considered a good damage limitation race just losing two points to his closest rival. Does anyone know what is the record for consecutive podiums in formula one. Hamilton must be closing in on it. I would have thought that Schumacher has this record from his Ferrari days?

The record is 19 for Schumacher. Alonso is second with 15.

Yes, Schumacher finished on the podium in each of the 17 races in 2002 (and the final two races of 2001, so that's 19 podiums in a row).

You're right he's problem was that he was to slow on his favorite circuit! He was lucky though as Felipe had that problem at the start.
