Japan was a quick detour back to their old ways for Ferrari. Suzuka is a track where the worst characteristics of a car are exposed. And it showed the Ferrari package is in a worse place than we were led to believe. And it was not simply about the power unit; it was chassis balance. Surprisingly, the boggy of their 2025 car is showing up in the 2026 car.
McLaren recovered half a second gap to Ferrari in Suzuka. That says something. Ferrari is drifting backwards. Is that a surprise? Not reallyBetter a witty fool than a foolish wit.
