I’m not sure Canarias suiting only Evans and Ogier. Thierry is always good on tarmac and Tänak was very good on two last pure tarmac events last year.

I agree with you. We must not forget Fourmaux won in Gran Canaria, in 2020 (ERC)
That same year Munster and McErlean were also in Gran Canaria...

Tänak takes the titel. There is no questions. He is just in casual Estonian winter sleeping mode. Like bear in winter. Sleeping. And name Ott is in Estonia casual bear name.In march when the sun rises and the waters get flowing in the river. Ott wakes up and start to win. Mark my words. Then no worries! When the bear Ott is waking up. Then the foxes and rabbits are done!

To be fair, Toyota gave them a great chance to win in 2024 and Hyundai blew it with putting Mikkelsen on tarmac and Tanak's crashes. Only a great season by Neuville kept them close.

Toyota wont be so generous again with as many Ogier and Rovanpera mistakes, so Hyundai are really up against it anyway.

When VW came in, Loeb retired en ogier was starting his prime. Without Ogier, there would have been no VW dominance, just like there was no Citroen dominance without Loeb.
