All part of the 'show' that current Organisers think they need to add to their events, I suppose. What's next for SSS, co-drivers skydiving into their seat while drivers balance an egg on a spoon in their mouth??!!
More SSS like this 'doughnut' and the 'drag race' planned for Rally GB and the FIA will want to introduce a 1/100th second timing rule so a stage winner can be declared!

Remember when Panizzi did a donut in front of the fans in Spain - everyone thought that was great.

I've always wondered about donuts in the middle/end of long stages (like in Santa Marina in Catalunya or Great Orme last year), what if there's another car behind?

Unfortunately this thing got to our championship as well. There is one such mandatory donut in one stage of Rallye Český Krumlov but at least it is placed just after the start so that there is no such risk of two cars being there in the same time.

You are mixing things. Panizzi's donut was not in the roadbook and that's why it was so cool. If Ott Tänak will do a donut this year in Kakaristo junction THAT is cool, but just because it'd underline his dominance.

Fair point. But a donut is still quite cool, but as long as its only a little part and not the main feature of an SSS.
