If Tanak want to be 2nd Sordo - he would stay at M-Sport. But he want win a championship. In M-Sport he couldn't do that.

In M-Sport he would be driving a no. 2 car, sometimes with not the best and latest upgrades and he wouldn`t be allowed to challenge Ogier atm most definitely. Money ofc is important too, not like you can retire as an earning rallydriver at the age of 70.
Sucks, yes, but never thought after joining Toyota, that he would be so competitive with the Yaris so soon + expected reliability issues. Better than expected imho.
