We are talking about first class drivers here not just testers, i doubt teams are going to invite them to test the car and then make up their mind.

I don't really agree with all the hate towards Toyota, no one at the moment knows how is their speed going to be like in 2017.
They started their WRC program from scratch like 9 months ago. They tried to get the best drivers available but as we all know they all had different plans and current contracts which led to Toyota to pick Juho and I don't see any problem with that.
People who blame them to have mostly Finnish employees etc. are dumb. Why wouldn't they pick people they know and trust?
I know for a fact that there is also people working from outside of Finland and I think they are all capable to do their jobs.
One big false that they are doing is letting team principal to be one of their test drivers, that's just plain dumb for me.

Why would he? Tommi is a multiple world champion who can provide a lot of useful feedback on the car (same with Gronholm as VW test driver), I don't think you can say the same about Malcom. He has done much better as a manager than he did as a driver.

And while it is unusual to do that job as well as being team principal, you can't deny that he does have the experience to be a very good test driver.
