I believe they have full focus on the 2017 car. They only do selected events this year. Not sure what events they are doing for the rest of the year.

Which tbh isn't much different to now, many teams uses R5 based cars. Hansens built 208 T16 and DS3 R5 based RX cars, Gronholm and Andersson drives i20 R5 based cars, Kristofferson used to run Polo R...
